What Is My Identity?

Do you know who you really are?

Do you realize the power of unity by knowing your identity?

This could be the door that needed to be unlocked from inside of you to open your mind to the real you and those around you.

Hello and welcome to the words that may change your understanding of who you are forever! Thank you for taking the time out to read this message which may change how you treat yourself and others for the rest of your life.

Who are you? Do you really know who you are? You may identify yourself as being a colour - black, white, yellow or brown. Most commonly, the terms we hear more of when describing people are “black” or “white.” The truth is, colour is the least important factor when saying who you are. Even your religion is not an important factor. Wait there a moment all who belong to a religion. Don’t stop reading until you have finished this entire message, then you can pass judgment on these words.

The majority of religions that I have read about believe that Adam was the first man on earth. If I could go back in time and have a chat with Adam, around a few hours after he was made, I would like him to answer these simple questions.

Me: Hello Mr Adam how are things?
Adam: Well everything is quite wonderful. Who on earth are you?

Me: Oh sorry, excuse my manners. I am from the future and I have travelled back to have a chat.
I just want to ask you some questions.

Adam: What’s the future?
Me: I hope this conversation is not going to go on like this. Lets talk about the present and about you.
Adam: What do you want to know?
Me: Who are you?
Adam: My name is Adam.
Me: And where are you from?
Adam: I am from the earth.
Me: What religion are you?
Adam: What is religion?
Me: What colour are you?

Adam: What is so important about my colour?
Me: Come on Adam don’t be difficult. Just answer.
Adam: Well I guess I am some sort of dusty colour.

Me: Is there anything you would like to tell me?
Adam: No not really.
The All Mighty said that he is going to give me a helper soon because I am alone and the animals can’t help me. So I am just waiting to see what he has up his sleeve, whatever a sleeve is.

Me: OK thanks for your time.
Adam: What is time?
Me: I guess you don’t know what a car, hamburger or the internet is either?
Adam: I haven’t got a single clue in heaven or on earth what you are talking about.
Me: Ha, ha, ha. Thanks for your time, I mean thanks for today. Oh yeah, don’t forget, don’t eat the forbidden fruit.
Adam: What fruit?

Adam was quite helpful even if he didn’t know too much.

Identity is so important to every human living. It gives you a foundation to stand on so whatever happens to you, you will at least know who you are and where you came from.

Those who were taken from Africa and other places to become slaves in America, Europe and the West Indies were gradually stripped of their identity over the years.

I will now use this as an example.

Over 300 years ago, people were taken from Africa to be slaves. During these years, the Africans/Yisraelites lost their identity and were called “black” by the slave masters. Can you believe that after hundreds of years of slavery African, American and West Indian people and those of other nations are STILL using the title “black” - given to slaves by their masters - to identify people today? The title “black” was to strip a person of their name and where they came from.

A high proportion of people from America and the West Indies skin colour is not black but different shades of brown, yet they still call themselves what the slave masters named them, “black.” I have seen Indians darker, well I could even say blacker skinned than some people who call themselves black, yet the Indian is still called or identified as being Indian and NOT black.
All this skin colour talk has no real value to humans. People are good and people are bad. It matters not what skin colour you are. It may be more likely that a person the same colour as you would end up hating you, causing you trouble, disliking you or even killing you than those of a different colour. It happens.

Above all, the most important thing to you is your name and where you come from. People should be treated as people first. If an English born person goes into a shop and buys something then leaves the shop and the person at the till was Indian born, religion has played no part in the transaction. The English person may be Catholic and the Indian Hindu yet none of this is brought up. Why, because we are all human FIRST. After all, people change religions all the time.
Let’s look at you now. You are firstly identified by your name and then where you come from. Anything deeper than that may cause unnecessary conflict even though it should not. Everyone should really be known for their words, actions and their ACTUALITY rather than their personality.

So remember, you are firstly what your name is. Then, where you are born or where you are living now should be your foundation for identity. If you dislike a person because of where they come from or what their name or skin colour is, then you are wasting your life and you are stupid. There is good in every human living so do not bring out the bad side. Concentrate on bringing out the good in people and it should benefit you, them, your neighbourhood, country and hopefully the world.

Now you should be able to tell yourself and others who you are and where you are from. This is your identity. Fill in the spaces. Enjoy the rest of your life.
